Two posibilities:

– Needs for the B2B Partner portal designer

  • Assist in designing and reimaging their partner portal (a design swarm is being planned for end of Sept)
  • Their PLS Partners (Private Label solutions) run campaigns with their suppliers – and today, this entire thing is done manually and will need to be designed and developed within the Partner Portal
  • An example would be a PLS partner (like a Bank) partnering with a Supplier (a hotel chain) to run campaigns targeting US travelers to travel to Europe
  • Prior experience in B2B space, partner facing tooling
  • Understanding complex systems with payments, commissions, reporting and be able to simplify backend complexity through designs
  • Collaborate with product team (based out of London) and design team (based out of Chicago)

– Needs for the Travel Agent Portal designer

  • Travel Agent Portal is similar to a traveler booking through client, except it has special features for the Travel Agent making the booking, such as deferred payments, service fees, currency conversions etc.
  • Experience w. Internal tooling (that an Account manager or Agent uses) will be useful
  • Collaborate with product team (based out of Madrid) and design team (based out of Chicago)

  • Demonstrate understanding of visual and interaction design foundations and create appropriate sketches, wireframes, flows, design comps and prototypes.
  • Explore design solutions and directions based on customer needs, wants, and problems.
  • Collaborate closely with other experience designers, content designers and researchers to deliver explorations and solutions.
  • Demonstrate facilitation skills and ability to coordinate with cross-functional partners.
  • Use our design system, components and patterns effectively and appropriately with guidance.
  • Create routine, informative communication material explaining decision-making rationale to team members.
  • Help gather and interpret diverse qualitative and quantitative inputs.
  • Assist with defining success metrics for solving a design problem.
  • Contribute to idea generation in team settings.
  • Collect, process and act on design feedback constructively.

Problem Definition and Product Strategy:

  • You will build a solid toolkit of methods for facilitating the gathering and synthesizing of diverse insights in ambiguous problem spaces.
  • You will influence strategy for a project or product area by articulating a coherent UX vision based on clear, actionable problem/opportunity statements.
  • You will define customer experience success metrics for a project or product area.

Ideation and Visualization:

  • You will explore diverse, novel perspectives and design directions by default, and evaluate concepts using appropriate methods to determine the strongest proposal to present to the wider team.
  • You will confidently facilitate idea generation with stakeholders.
  • You will demonstrate mastery of common visual and interaction design principles and practice, and create appropriate sketches, wireframes, flows, design comps, and prototypes with minimal guidance.

Communication and Presentation:

  • You will consistently create clear and compelling materials and narratives explaining design rationale to team and stakeholders using customer, business, or competitive insights.
  • You will seek diverse feedback on design work and anticipate feedback to address it proactively.

Customer Centricity:

  • You will apply and adapt design and research processes to fit the needs of the project.
  • You will develop empathy and insights about customers based on data and insights from research and other customer data sources.
  • You will clearly communicate customer-centric goals when presenting work.

  • 5+ years of experience in user experience, interaction design, and user interaction strategy.
  • Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience; Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience or related Design field or relevant experience is applicable with at least 5 years related professional experience.
  • Strong appreciation for human-centered design and outstanding customer experiences, and a proven track record of collaboration with creative partners
  • History of developing cohesive, compelling strategic visions for experience, product, and service challenges.
